Notice to any and all Canadians who may be reading

Tomorrow (Jun 28) is Election Day. Be sure to vote. If you're not registered (if you didn't get a voter's card), you can register at the polling station -- just bring two pieces of ID, one of which has your signature. If your ID doesn't have your current address on it, bring a bill or something to prove that you live in the riding. You can get more information at Elections Canada's Web site.

To make my political affiliations clear, I'll be working for the NDP that evening, "pulling the vote" -- that is to say, reminding NDP supporters to get out and vote for Ed Broadbent. I'm rather excited, because Ed is the favourite to win in this riding, and I've never gotten to actually elect anybody before.

But whatever party you support, it's your responsibility as a citizen of this country to get your butt to the polling station and vote. Even if you don't think there's any chance the party you support will win. Even if you think the party you support is way ahead and doesn't need your vote. Vote anyway. It matters.
