No results blackout on election night

For the non-Canadians... I'm not sure how it works for you folks, but until now, news stations and so forth were prohibited from broadcasting any election results in an area until the polls closed there. The idea was that knowing the results in the Atlantic might influence the way the West Coast voted. Now this court decision means that results will be broadcast as soon as they're known.

Will this affect the results, in the west at least? Hard to say. What do you think?
