twenty years of sleep before we sleep forever

Rose: All of the NAC performances of Madama Butterfly were sold out; this city is supporting opera, which means they'll keep putting them on.

Thorn: Because all the performances sold out, and because I am terribly unorganized, I did not get to go and see the opera.

Rose: C and I went to see this show instead (based almost entirely on the title), and it was very good indeed. Very clever and funny, and they inserted Ottawa-specific references at various points, which was rather amusing. I do recommend this one, if it happens to be playing in your city. It was a really fun evening.

Rose: I got to go shopping last weekend, and acquired new clothes, which were sorely needed, including a couple of pairs of pants for work (very badly needed indeed) and a cute pair of brown shoes.

Thorn: When removing the tag from a new shirt with my teeth (I know! I know!) last night, I managed to re-chip my front tooth (it was chipped when I was a kid, and capped; I basically knocked the cap off).

Rose: The dentist was able to fit me in this morning, and re-capped my tooth, and I feel like a normal human being again.

Thorn: The dentist said that I would probably need to get a more long-term fix done (a more expensive and permanent means of making my tooth look normal), because the re-capping wasn't likely to last more than a year or so.

Rose: I do have good insurance.

Thorn: I'm not sure how much they'll cover; I'm going to have to look into it.
