twenty years of sleep before we sleep forever
I think Hog's Back may be my favourite spot in Ottawa. It's certainly up near the top of the list. I love that it's right in the city, but as soon as you walk down the river a little ways, you can't hear anything but the water. You can still see buildings, and sometimes buses going by, but they're not everywhere, and you can't hear the traffic or anything else. It's like a tiny bit of the woods dropped into the city. Spending a few minutes there goes a long way to recharging my batteries.

Can anyone suggest some good fluffy reading for me? I need something relatively escapist, I think; something that'll let me just unwind and get absorbed into a good story.

The biggest challenge in this request is finding the right balance -- fluffy without being utterly stupid. I know quite a few of you are readers, so I'm sure you know what I mean by that. I'm happy to read genre fiction, especially SF and fantasy, and I've often found good mysteries can give me the right level of fluff. I've never really been into romance as such, though I'm willing to be open-minded if it comes highly enough recommended.

Any thoughts?
