I'm sure you've noticed that I haven't been posting much lately. I'm
sorry about that. I've been meaning to, and there are certainly lots of
things I'd like to post about and links I'd like to share, but...

I may possibly have broken down and bought a copy of Myst IV.

And I haven't really done much of anything else since.

I love the Myst games -- they suck me in with a powerful force. It's
the problem-solving and the brainpower that does it for me -- it
activates parts of my brain that just don't get excercised enough. And
how can I put it away and go to bed, or do something else, when I know
that if I can just... twiddle that knob the right way... figure out the
right combination...

It's true, I'm an addict. I might feel guiltier about this if the
housemate weren't himself addicted to Civilization III.

On a slightly related note, my coworker tempted me today, and we went to
Starbucks for what I am sure must be crack-in-a-cup -- their chocolate
drink, called "Chantico". It's not hot chocolate -- it's much too rich
for that. The chocolate chemicals are enough to have us buzzing like
you would not believe (and then, of course, there's the post-chocolate
crash...). Mmmmmm.... Evil addictive liquid chocolate....
