I have been quite lax in my journalling lately. After I got back from the wedding last weekend, I sort of collapsed and spent a lot of time trying to get myself rested. I then promptly developped a nasty cold (which is what I am dealing with now, and the reason I am sitting at home rather than at work).

This past Saturday was our league's annual softball tournament, which was a lot of fun, even though I was repeatedly struck by balls (only once with any force, and that bruise is already well on the way to healing), and even though we lost every single one of our games. It was a little frustrating at times, particularly since most of our team couldn't make it, and we were short-handed. I'm sure we'd have done better if we'd had a few more players and people could have sat off occasionally. But we did have a good time. And drank lots of beer afterwards (and no, I'm sure that didn't help my cold one little bit).

I have a whole slew of links I've been meaning to post -- they're cluttering up my inbox -- so I'll try to get to that a bit later today. I'm about due for another book post, too. In short, there's lots of blogging for me to do, and since I'm sitting at home playing Internet Scrabble today, it seems a good opportunity. :) Watch this space and all that.

  • Last books of 2013

Since this is basically all I blog these days, you'd think I could get the reviews posted in a timely fashion. Turns out... nah. 78. The Second…
