Yes, yes, another entry. I predict the novelty will wear off in.... about 2 days. But it's all good.

It's rainy out, and I'm pretty comfortably ensconced at home here. I was tossing around the idea of going to a movie tonight, but I think I'm just going to stay in and hang with the cat. 'Sides, there's a new Simpsons ep on tonight, so I simply must watch that. ;)

Maybe I'll pull the guitar out, too. I haven't practised much this week, and Joni Mitchell is inspiring me. I've been working on learning Aimee Mann's "Save Me", and I've got the chords pretty well down now -- just need to figure out the strumming. Couple of tricky chords in this one, too, so I'm pretty proud of myself. I also think I've finally figured out how to play Weeping Tile's "Dogs and Thunder", which will be a real source of pride if I can learn that properly. I grabbed the chords to "Lovesong" and to a couple of Hefner tunes, too, but they just don't sound quite right on solo acoustic guitar. For some strange reason. Go figure. Especially a majorly amateur acoustic guitar. Heh.

Just finished dinner -- a really yummy new Dhal recipe, which turned out pretty nicely for a first try, if I do say so myself. It would have been nice with some pita bread, but I forgot that I finished the last of it earlier this week. Oops. So it was plain dhal for me. I really need to start planning my eating -- maybe that will result in actually having everything I need in the house when I go to cook/eat. But I've never been any good at making menus and sticking to them. Oh well.

I'm going to go sit with the cat and digest now.

So, we went to see Deep Breath at the theatre last night -- a little silly, to pay money to watch a show that we could have seen online two days…

  • Canadian Winter

I'm something of a conflicted Canadian, and nothing brings it out more than the depths of winter. I grumble a lot about how much I hate winter,…
