Last night was Les Miserables. I'd never seen the show before, and really enjoyed it. Having read fireinthehead's comments about being disappointed, I think there's something to be said about not knowing a show/play/whatever too well before seeing it performed -- especially a big musical-type thing, where it's fundamentally the same, in terms of staging/costuming/etc. 'Cause I just got to enjoy the story and the music, and not worry about comparing it to better performances I may once have seen. And when it comes to plays -- have you ever seen a performance of one of your favourite plays that really lived up to your expectations?
Today I went to a Peace Protest. It was a good demonstration. It was also really cold and really windy and snowy. I came home and had some tea and a bath. I feel better now. :)
Spenser is sitting on my lap being warm and purr-y. Cats are good for that. This is why cats are way better roommates than most people. ;)
